The Richmond Raceway will be back in action again this weekend.

Once again, though, fans will not be allowed into the facility.

The track known as The Beast of the East is set to play host to the Night of Thousands. Racing will get under way at 5 p.m. Saturday.

Four divisions will be in action — Reality World Pro Late Models, Eagle Financial UMP Modifieds, ARBodies Super Stocks and Chapter One Reality 4-Cylinders — with each paying $1,000-to-win, with a $100 entry fee.

This will be the third event the track has played host to this season, all without fans.

The main grandstand will once again be closed because of COVID-19 guidelines put in place by Gov. Andy Beshear. Each drivers will be allowed to have nine people in his pit crew.

Social distancing will be encouraged, along with masks.

No pre-registration is necessary and pit gates will open at 1 p.m.

The event will be streamed live on the track's facebook page.

Richmond Raceway was in action last week with racing in four divisions.

Derek Fisher claimed another title, taking the checkered flag in the Reality World Trifecta Pro Late Model race. He also won the Sonic Super Late Models event during the May 16 season opener.

J.T. Ayers took first place in the Eagle Financial UMP Modifieds on Saturday night.

The ARBodies KDRA Super Stocks and Chapter One Realty Group 4 Cylinders events were postponed due to curfew. Those events will be run as part of this weekend’s event.
